TiDOE and NATHALYN "Bus Buddy" TiDoe(Dave), 20, a freshman in Brookdale College is one of my newest friends. But no matter when I had met him, we still became very close. It was junior year when I first saw him. He was new to my development and him and I often sat across from each other. He was quiet and very reserved. I could tell he was not too happy in this new school. I only muttered one "sorry" to him once in the middle of the school year and nothing else until the end of the year. I was crying and after having come up to the bus, TiDoe looked at me and asked me if I was ok. He asked me what was wrong and I had told him that I was moving back, supposedly, to the Philippines. After that, I never saw him again until senior year. The first couple of days in the bus, I didn't get a chance to talk to TiDoe until one day, he sat next to me. He asked me why I didn't move. I was surprised he remembered. He also was in my Calculus and gym class. We talked more and more. Oftentimes, we would talk on the phone for hours about his "Pekkle" and his "TiDoe-ism". He seems like a very insensitive (yeah, sometimes he is) person and a bully, but he is a very nice person on the inside. Even if he denies it, I know he cares about me as a good friend. On my birthday, he gave me a card. For Christmas, he gave me a cute Winnie-the-Pooh. I can remember him most when I see angel figurines. He loves angel and of course, he THINKS he's one (well, he's not). Nevertheless, TiDoe has always been considerate. I miss all the times we talked and argued on the bus and the times he played around with my head. Over the summer, TiDoe and I still talked and he treated me out on the last day of school to TGI Friday's (his favorite restaurant). It was fun having him around and I hope that one of these days, we'll continue to have our love-hate friendship . |
