MEERA and NATHALYN

"Neighbors"

Meera V. Patel, 18, and a freshman of NYU may seem like a snobbish person but inside she has a good heart. She is the first friend I ever had who shares the same block and even the same birthday as me. We met first freshman year in the corner of my house when the bus came an hour late in the freezing cold. I talked to her for a while and realized she was a funny person. We didn't talk to each other until sophomore year afterwards in Chemistry class. She was also a partner of Robin in lab. So, we started to talk and basically crack jokes. When we realized we had the same birthday, we got even closer though there were a lot of arguments about who is older (of course, I am!).

Junior year, we shared so many classes together. Robin, Meera, and I were probably considered the 3 musketeers. Meera and I had to do a lot of projects together for AP History, from crazy "Gangsta's Paradise" projects to boring forums. We did a lot of crazy things and that's what brought us together. Sure, working as partners can create so much conflicts and believe me, Meera and I had endless arguments but it was okay anyway. At least she realized I wasn't as sweet and innocent as she thought I was and I realized she wasn't either. Nevertheless, senior year, though we weren't as close anymore, I still consider her as my good friend and my forever neighbor.
