KRISTY, and NATHALYN
SUSAN and NATHALYN
"The Giver of Smiles J "

I would put Kristy Fullerton, 18, and Susan Lin, 19, on the same page only because these two are almost as attached to the hips as Robin and I were. Yeah, Robin and I considered them as our rivals. Nevertheless, I first knew Susan from a friend of my sister's. I was shy to introduce myself to a girl I had no classes with but wanted to know so I wrote her a letter. Throughout freshman year, we communicated only through letters never once talking to her face-to-face.

Finally, sophomore year, I discovered that Susan was in my English, Chemistry, and gym class. I talked to her more and more and we had fun in Chemistry class with her being Robin's lab partner. Our friendship developed into something wonderful. Susan introduced me to Kristy in English class that same year. I've always known Kristy to be such a wonderful writer. I was most impressed with her monologue with the novel "Glass Menagerie". Ever since that, I was most impressed with Kristy.

Junior year, I shared English class again with Kristy and we talked over the phone occasionally. She was such a sweet person. I loved her voice, so sweet and gentle. Susan and I had Pre-Calculus and History together. I saw Susan as a very sensitive person and I was able to sense her loneliness and insecurity. As much as I could, I tried to comfort her to the best of my ability. I didn't know if I had helped her in any way, but I know I made the effort.

Senior year, I had gotten much closer to Kristy. During lunch, her and I shared so many feelings from happiness to sadness. She truly cared for me as I did for her. I remember always running to tell Kristy stories of the sweet guy who I was falling in love with (now, my boyfriend, of course). She would listen intently and I knew then that I found a true friend. Among all my friends, Kristy was one to give good advice and I truly love her for that. Susan and I talked only frequently in gym class. But through Kristy, I was still updated with what was going on with Susan. I would just like her to know that I thought she looked beautiful in her prom dress…

Right now, I am glad that Kristy and Susan were able to cling to their friendship and I am also happy to hear that both are happy with how things are going on in their life. These two have always brought smiles to others and I think they deserve some smiles for themselves, as well…here's a smile for them! J
